Network trainee

The role of Network Trainee is crucial for building and maintaining our fiber infrastructure.

Qualified professionals are encouraged to apply. Additional training will be provided in each location

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install fibre optic enclosures onto new and existing cables at locations including but not limited to: Core Nodes, Field/Roadside Chambers and Customer Premises.
  
• Prepare fibre optic cables within enclosures using joint, loop-though, tray, CPE and end-of-line methods based on industry standards.
• Test and troubleshoot faults on new and existing fibre installations using an OTDR, optical power meter, fibre identifier and visual scope.
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain fibre installations across new and existing network infrastructure.
• Other duties as may be required, consistent with the position.

Software engineer

The role of Software Engineer is crucial for the operation of the fiber infrastructure and ultimately reflects on the customer experience of using SmartFarmNet broadband.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install switches, server platforms and CPEs  including but not limited to: Core Nodes, Field/Roadside Chambers and Customer Premises.
• Prepare software and hardware at all levels of broadband aggregation.
  
• Test and troubleshoot billing software, speed control and testing software, customer connection settings and server settings.
  
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain customer software installations across new and existing network infrastructure.
  
• Other duties as may be required, consistent with the position.
